The idea was well received by the rest of the team. In their initial research, the team found that there were many games that used giant animals to tell their stories and show their images, but very few where the animals actually affected the mechanics of the game.
To make a game about symbiotes, they decided to make one about giant and human survivors. Over the past three years, The Wandering Village has been among the top 30 most-wanted games on Steam after successfully fundraising on Kickstarter.
Available on Steam Early Access for PC, Mac, and Linux on September 14 for $24.99, this marks just the beginning of Onbu’s journey. Wandering Village is also coming to the Xbox Game Preview in 2023.
